New Daily Content at Layers Magazine.com
Layers Magazine.com has been posting a lot of new content, including tutorials, product reviews, daily blog entries, and the weekly podcast of Layers TV. The Layers site includes an Illustrator tutorial section which is added to weekly. There are currently 91 tutorials dealing with Adobe Illustrator. Many of the archived tutorials came from this site, but there have been many more added from other sources. Stop by Layers' Illustrator Tutorial section and spend some time checking out the new content. There are both video tutorials and written, step-by-step tutorials to follow along with. Here are just some of the new tutorials available for free at the Layers site. Swingin' Retro Look in Adobe Illustrator. Corey Barker shows you how to create a retro look using custom brushes and symbols in Illustrator. Crazy 3D Shapes in Illustrator. Dave Cross explains that by just experimenting with the Type tool and the 3D effect Revolve, you can use the alphabet to create a whole series of 3D objects. Brushed Metal Effect. Using Illustrator's Gradient Editor and Graphic Styles to create a brushed metal effect that you can apply to any shape or text.

Illustrator Courses Available at Kelby Training

Adobe Announces Camera Raw 4.1 Update
Adobe today announced an update to its free Photoshop Camera Raw plug-in: Camera Raw 4.1 update includes improved noise reduction and sharpening tools and raw file support for 13 additional camera models and camera backs. The camera raw functionality in the Adobe Photoshop software provides fast and easy access within the Photoshop line of products to the raw image formats produced by many leading professional and midrange digital cameras.
